Kuyt who had scored 14 times last term, will join Torres and Voronin as the front sharp edge of Liverpool this season.

In a penalty shoot-out on Friday , Liverpool lost to Portsmouth 4-2.

It was at the Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong.

After ending the match without scoring, the match immediately went to penalty kicks .

The satrs that had recently were signed , Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun missed the shots , and portsmouth won the game.
