The Old Lady starts 07-08 season Excellently.

Juventus thrashed Livorno 5-1 in the first league match of the season.


the first goal of the match was a beautiful header by David Trezeguet .


The match was broadcast here in Israel for the first time in one year, after Juventus went down to the second league.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich met Ronaldinho's agent several times at the past two weeks.

He wants the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge irrespective of what it costs.

As we all know Ronaldinho has another three years to run on his current Barcelona contract.

Real Madrid New Players For 07 - 08 Season

Real president Ramon Calderon praised his new Dutch players Royston Drenthe and Wesley Sneijder at a press conference on Monday .

Winger Drenthe, 20, joins Real Madrid from Feyenoord for a 14 million euro transfer fee. Sneijder, 23, comes from Dutch club Ajax on a 27 million euro transfer fee.

This two dutchmen joins goalkeeper former Liverpool goalkeeper , Polish Jerzy Dudek.

Real also fired her manager Fabio Capello, who had helped the team to a league title, and hired the German Bernd Schuster.

At last Marco Materazzi revealed Italian newspaper the fateful words he said to the French legend Zinedine Zidane in last season's World Cup final.

'Zizou' said to Materazzi : "If you really want my shirt, you can have it after the match."

Materazzi responded : "I'd prefer your slut of a sister."

As we all know , Zidane turned and butted Materazzi full-force in the chest, getting a red card, and in bizarre way he ended his professional career.

Returning To The Scene Of The Crime – Cech’s Head Injury

On October 2006, Peter Cech was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital after he challenged Reading's winger Stephen Hunt .

Hunt's knee met Cech's head and he fell unconscious.

Cech then underwent surgery for a depressed fracture of the skull and it nearly cost Cech his life.

This night he is coming back to the scene of the crime. (Chelsea Vs. Reading)

Balili - Aiman Dual

Yesterday, Trabzonpor's Egyptian midfielder Abdelaziz Aiman attacked Sivassspor's Israeli player Pini Balili with a fierce tackle.

It was at the last minutes of Sivassspor's match against Trabzonpor.

Balili thinks that the tackle accured just because he is an Israeli.

Aiman got away with a yellow card but the other Sivasspor players were quite angry after this brutal foul.

Later on a fan entered the field, ran towards Sivas striker Yildiz and hit him in the face.

Rooney - His left foot

United officials confirmed that their striker got a fracture of his left foot.
It happened during Sunday afternoon's 0-0 draw with Reading.
In attempt to make a tackle, Duberry from Reading accidentally trod on Rooney's foot and it was clear instantly Rooney had a problem.
Certainly, he will miss the next matches for nearly 3 months.
Steve McClaren will also be without his best striker for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia at the beginning of next month.

Dalglish - Scotish Footballegend

Kenny Dalglish , the famous scorer of Celtic and Liverpool in the 1970s and 1980s , is now working for The Reds.

Dalglish grew up supporting Glasgow Rangers.

He has 14 Championships to his name as a player and manager in England and Scotland.

Beckham to miss friendly against The Germans?

David Beckham is a doubt for England's friendly with Germany at Wembley this month.

According to his LA Galaxy coach Frank Yallop , Beckham has a serious ankle injury and he already has missed the last three games in his new team.

As we reported earlier , the former england's captain has made just one brief appearance for the MLS club - in a friendly against Chelsea last month.
