Gonzalo Higuaín was born in France while his father, professional Argentine footballer Jorge "El Pipa" Higuaín, was playing in the French Ligue 1.

Having left the country at the age of 10 months, he did not return to France until the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

Even though he does not speak French, he holds a French passport, because his father was naturalized French. But in January 2007, he successfully applied for the Argentine nationality. He is the younger brother of Federico Higuaín, who plays football for Independiente.

Gonzalo Higuain's stunning injury-time strike secured a remarkable 3-2 comeback win for Real Madrid at home to Getafe in the Primera Liga on Tuesday.

The Argentine striker levelled the scores at 1-1 in the first half and Guti equalised again in the 86th, just after Juan Albin had given the visitors the lead for a second time.

Gabriel Batistuta- Batigol !

Batistuta - Batigol is one of the most excellent strikers of all time.

His scoring touch and offensive ability came late in life, as a teenager Batistuta was enamored with basketball before he came of age on the soccer pitch at the age 17.

In 1994, at the age of 25 he was awarded the title of top scorer in the Italian A league.

The transfer that no one thought would happen finally happened. Gabriel Batistuta, Legend of Fiorentina left the club for AS Roma and became the top earner in Italian football.

Argentina legend Daniel Passarella was an unusual player. His scoring record is quite unique for a defender.
In 298 matches in the Argentine league, he scored 99 goals.
Despite being only 174cm, he was exceptional in the air and scored an impressive amount of goals by headers from corners or free-kicks.
He won lots of honours in the game.
Several league championships with River Plate in Argentina, which was the club he served most of his career.
But the highlight was of course to win the World Cup in 1978 on homesoil. He was 25 years old and captained Argentina to victory.

Paolo Rossi - Italian Legend

Italian Paolo Rossi was a great player.

He had some injuries on the knee at the beginning of his carreer, so in 1982 was not at his best.

But still he scored 3 goals against Brazil.

20 years old Mauro Matías Zárate is the new star of Argentina.

Yesterday Zárate helped the Argentina Under-20 team to win the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, after he scored the winning goal in the final against the Czech Republic.

Untill now he played in Qatar , but some say he's going to sign at one of the PremierLeage teams soon.

Diego Simeone is trying to convince Carlos Tevez to quit West Ham United and join Inter Milan this summer.
Tevez , Aragentina star ,is a target for both Inter Milan and Manchester United, while West Ham officials trying to convince him to stay next season.
Simeone, the coach of Argentina's Estudiantes, said : "He's perfect for the Italian championship.

Hand Of God - Maradona

Former Argentina soccer star Diego Maradona has acknowledged on Argentine television in 2005 , that he struck the ball with his hand in the infamous "Hand of God" goal against England in the 1986 World Cup quarter-finals.

He said he was unable to reach the ball for a header because England's goalkeeper Peter Shilton "was very tall".

Maradona, who was Argentina's captain, said he quickly realized the referee allowed the goal but none of his teammates rushed to celebrate with him - themselves disbelieving.

Replays clearly showed the foul, but the goal helped propel Argentina to a 2-1 victory. Maradona also scored the second goal, which has been dubbed the "Feet of a God" goal, and which FIFA declared to be the greatest ever in World Cup competition.
