Dirty Handball Goal by France !!

French footballer Thierry Henry has admitted handling a ball before a crucial goal that sent his team to the World Cup at the expense of Ireland.

The goal drew the tournament qualifier in Saint Denis, outside Paris, 1-1.

Before the goal, Ireland had been leading 1-0 and the match was level on aggregate.

But in the first period of extra time, Henry twice handled the ball - stopping it going out of play, then controlling it - to set up his teammate William Gallas.

After the match, Barcelona striker Henry said Swedish referee Martin Hansson was the main culprit for not spotting the infringement.

The player said: "I will be honest, it was a handball. But I'm not the ref. I played it. The ref allowed it."

Rivaldo - Brazilian legend

Rivaldowas the last of what remained of the old Brazil.

Very skillful but not what present day Brazil is with all the fancy moves they do its probably the reason they didnt go far in World Cup 2006.

Rivaldo wasen't fancy or anything but he had a way of controlling the ball like no one else.

That's why Ronaldhino cannot be the succesor of Rivaldo because Ronaldhino does not spin the ball the way Rivaldo did.

Gheorghe Hagi - The 'Maradona of the Carpathians'

Romania's footballegend has played more games and scored more goals for his country than anyone else.

In 1994 World Cup, he led Romania to the quarter-finals with a stunning long distance shot against Colombia in the group stage and the decisive third goal in a thrilling 3-2 second-round win against Argentina.

Everyone remeber that he was involved in a fascinating battle with Paolo Maldini, which was unfortunately ended when Maldini was injured just after half time.

He played for Galatasaray , Turkey and many have described him as "the best foreign player ever to play in Turkey."

Daniel Alberto Passarella - "El Gran Capitan" (The great captain)

Argentina legend Daniel Passarella was an unusual player. His scoring record is quite unique for a defender.
In 298 matches in the Argentine league, he scored 99 goals.
Despite being only 174cm, he was exceptional in the air and scored an impressive amount of goals by headers from corners or free-kicks.
He won lots of honours in the game.
Several league championships with River Plate in Argentina, which was the club he served most of his career.
But the highlight was of course to win the World Cup in 1978 on homesoil. He was 25 years old and captained Argentina to victory.

Great Maradona , Kempes , Ardiles and Valdano played with him then...
