Avi Cohen - RIP 28/12/2011

Israeli past soccer player Avi Cohen was declared brain dead tonight by the medical team of Ichilov Hospital.


Cohen, 54, was critically injured  in a traffic accident in Ramat Gan on December 20. 


It happened while he was riding his motorcycle and was hit by a Taxi. 


Cohen's son, Tamir Cohen, is a midfielder for the Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League. 


Tamir Cohen flew back to Israel after the accident to be by his father's bedside.

Avraham "Avi" Cohen is a former Israeli footballer who played in defence.
Back in the 80's , he played for Liverpool in England.
His son Tamir is playing for Bolton in the Premier League.
Yesterday , Cohen was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash. He was taken to Tel Aviv’s Hospital, and was reported to be in a critical condition.
We wish for his quick full recovery...
